If learning about all the new stuff still hasn't made you excited about Xbox Madden 10, then maybe a visit to video gaming's not-so-distant past can put things into perspective. On one hand, it's probably not too cool to say Xbox Madden 10 is great, just because it stands out next to crap from 30 years ago. The brief glance at the pic gives you a taste, but believe me, what went on during an actual game was much more horrific. Characters started flashing and blinking, thanks to the limited memory of the early game consoles and cartridges. Audio was as awful as the video. Again, things like the scrolling screen wouldn't be a required part of any game for a while yet. In a short matter of time, the competitors entered the video game console field, and brought out their take on a more realistic football video game. A serious effort was made with this next one, in order to give gamers a football video game closer to the real thing. It wasn't there yet, though. Hardcore gamers were pretty excited by that one, as it really heralded the beginning of sports video games - but it was still just an early entry in the field. Several years would pass before that came to pass. Technology had caught up, albeit slightly, to gamers' football desires, to the point where this game has taken on an iconic status for gamers today. If you were to ask a gamer from the 90s what their favorite sports video game was, this one would crack the top 5 list. It's relatively simple to see why it was such a mega-popular hit - before this, nobody really attempted to make a football video game that was this sophisticated. This was the ultimate step up in football video games for a long time, so gamers really proclaimed this one the best football game out there, year after year. With the online revival, today's gamers are getting a taste of yesteryear - and loving it. However, it doesn't even come close to what Xbox Madden 10 offers. It's always great to see how far we, and football video games, have come. So, yeah, no point in calling out the old football games. We think you understand. Those games had their weaknesses, but if it weren't for them, we wouldn't be playing Xbox Madden 10 today, so they did get the ball rolling. Of course, Xbox Madden 10 has really kicked this one over the goal posts, which has the video game world pretty pleased. The fans aren't the only ones raving about Xbox Madden 10 - the critics have said their piece, and they're into it. "Realistic and enjoyable" are comments you'll see during most Xbox Madden 10 reviews. EA Sports has really concocted a Super Bowl sized hit with Xbox Madden 10, as expected.
There are always going to be the haters, but pay no attention - Xbox Madden 10 rules. As great as Xbox sports video games offerings are, Xbox Madden 10 is at the top of the pack. It's the favorite of hardcore gamers, and with good cause. Better still, the true gamers know that this is the arena which will separate the wheat from the chaff, after you play video games for money. It's a great time to be an Xbox Madden 10 expert - now you can slug it out for some real money.
